The International Plant Production Society (IPPS) Europe is pleased to announce that ticket sales and sponsorship packages are available for the highly anticipated IPPS Europe Annual Conference 2025, taking place at the Park Inn by Radisson in Peterborough, UK

Recognised as one of Europe’s leading platforms for plant production professionals, the conference brings together a cross‑section of the horticulture sector—including growers, suppliers, retailers, universities, industry bodies and policy-makers—for three days of research, innovation and networking.

Situated in the horticultural heartlands of East Anglia and South Lincolnshire, the venue offers ideal access for delegates from across the UK and EU.

Conference Highlights

Programme Overview

Wednesday 8 October – Exclusive Nursery & Estate Visits

Delegates will tour three exceptional sites showcasing innovation and best practice:

· Barcham Trees (Cambridgeshire) – Specialists in containerised trees and proud holders of the Royal Warrant for His Majesty The King. Highlights include a tour of their 250-acre nursery, the 16-acre Barcham Garden, and live demonstrations of a cutting-edge AI-driven potting machine from Horti Robotics.

· Rymer Trees (Suffolk) – Producers of over 300,000 cell-grown UK native trees annually, all

100% peat-free. The visit covers propagation operations and trial sowings of climate-resilient species.

· Elveden Estate (Norfolk/Suffolk border) – The UK’s largest ring-fenced lowland arable farm (22,500 acres), renowned for instant hedging and Christmas tree production. The tour includes production fields and demonstrations of bespoke labour-saving machinery.

Thursday 9 October – Ball, Marsh Road Site

Thursday will feature additional site visits across the region, offering delegates hands-on insight into commercial propagation and production systems. Confirmed so far:

· Ball – Marsh Road Site – A modern 2-hectare polytunnel complex producing Ball’s core 9cm hardy nursery stock range and the Kinder plug range. The tour will explore their production systems and showcase a wide variety of retail-ready and liner material.

Further Thursday visits will be announced shortly as the full programme is finalised.

Friday 10 October – Hotel Conference

The final day returns to the Park Inn by Radisson for a full programme of technical talks, presentations, and panel discussions, followed by the IPPS Europe AGM and closing session.
