SCOTLAND’S LARGEST FAMILY-RUN DAIRY LANDS ITS BIGGEST-EVER RETAIL EXPANSION WITH ASDA

Family-run dairy lands its biggest-ever supermarket listing, bringing 11 new product lines to nationwide stores while celebrating Scotland’s farming heritage

Graham’s Family Dairy has announced a major expansion with Asda, meaning that shoppers will be able to buy more dairy products made in Scotland than ever before. The deal will see 11 new lines hit shelves across Scottish stores this month, significantly scaling up a multi-decade partnership driven by a mutual commitment to local sourcing and high-quality farming.

The expansion reinforces Asda’s commitment to supporting leading Scottish suppliers while giving customers greater choice from trusted brands. Following the rollout – which represents the largest single range gain in the brand’s history with any retailer – Asda will stock almost 60 Graham’s Family Dairy products across milk, cream, butter, yogurt, kefir and cottage cheese, including the recently launched Silver Top milk – a premium, unhomogenised whole milk inspired by the Graham family’s five generations of dairy farming.

Founded in 1939 with just 12 hand-milked cows on the Graham family farm in Bridge of Allan, the business has grown into one of the nation’s leading dairy brands. Despite its growth, Graham’s Family Dairy remains firmly rooted in its farming heritage, working closely with a trusted network of Scottish dairy farmers to support rural communities, safeguard the future of British agriculture and meet growing consumer demand for high-quality natural Scottish dairy products.

Robert Graham, Managing Director of Graham’s Family Dairy, said:

“We have a long-standing and very positive relationship with Asda, who clearly want to stock high quality products from Scottish farmers and it’s heartening to see a major supermarket supporting the farming industry. This expansion gives more customers access to the products that have made Graham’s a trusted dairy brand for generations.

“For more than 85 years, our focus has remained the same – producing high-quality, natural dairy products with provenance, authenticity and taste at their heart. From fresh milk and cream to butter, yogurt, kefir and cottage cheese, we continue to produce products that are rooted in our farming heritage while meeting the evolving needs of today’s shoppers.

“This expansion also supports the network of Scottish dairy farming families who are central to our success. Together with Asda, we’re proud to be championing British agriculture and investing in the future of quality dairy production.”

The deal highlights the importance of long-term supplier relationships in driving innovation and growth. For Graham’s Family Dairy, continued success has been built on strong partnerships throughout the supply chain, from the farming families who produce the milk to the retail partners who help bring products to consumers.

Ashley Connolly, Asda’s local buying manager for Scotland, welcomed the expansion. She said:

“We’re proud to scale up our long-standing partnership with Graham’s Family Dairy in a deal that reflects our shared commitment to high-quality local farming.

“Asda’s customers are looking for the very best produce on the market, and by partnering with experienced and trusted suppliers like Graham’s, we can make sure they’re catered for, while supporting Scottish farmers and promoting a strong, local supply chain.”
