Pioneering food regulation platform expands European reach as brands seek stable trading conditions

Company News

Regulatory technology platform Rubicon Bridge has expanded its service enabling food and food supplement brands to unlock European markets, as companies seek stability amid tariff turbulence.

With global tariffs disrupting established supply chains, Rubicon Bridge’s technology helps businesses quickly pivot to avoid increased import duties and access more stable regulatory environments.

The business has now added Austria and Estonia to its technology platform, taking the total number of accessible European countries to 12, with a combined population of 420 million potential customers.

The challenging nature of regulations in the food and nutrients industries means it often takes businesses months to check if a single product is compliant with the regulatory regime in a new country.

With Rubicon Bridge’s technology, that process is cut to a matter of minutes.

Rubicon Bridge Managing Director Kathryn Szymonowicz said:

“The recent wave of international tariffs has created unprecedented disruption for exporters globally. Many businesses are now urgently seeking alternative markets with more predictable trading conditions.

“With its stable regulatory framework, Europe has become increasingly attractive – but navigating compliance across different countries remains a significant barrier. Our technology slashes this process from months to minutes, helping brands quickly adapt to this new global trade reality.

“By combining our team’s decades of experience and expertise in regulation with our unique technology, we offer an unrivalled solution for businesses needing to quickly pivot their export strategy.”

Rubicon Bridge’s disruptive technology unlocks huge commercial opportunities for food and food supplement companies looking to sell their products online in multiple countries.

The size of the proposition has been recognised by Amazon, which has integrated the tool within its European Service Provider Network, which helps companies sell across the continent.

The latest countries to be added to the technology follow the recent additions of Poland, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland. The tool now covers the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, Estonia and Austria.

Before Rubicon Bridge developed its technology, brands entering a new market had to go through the hugely time-consuming task of individually cross-checking and validating every ingredient used in their product.

They then had to translate the product labelling into multiple different languages, ensuring text was compliant with the local requirements.

Looking ahead, Rubicon Bridge is committed to expanding its tool to incorporate more countries across Europe and beyond, with Denmark set to be added soon

The company is also focused on broadening its service to cover industries beyond food and food supplements and nutrients. Regulation and compliance are a major barrier facing businesses in many sectors looking at new markets.

Rubicon Bridge’s technology helps overcome that hurdle and removes the complexity, helping businesses expand and thrive.
