Celtic Pride Premium Welsh Beef, Wales’ leading beef brand for the hospitality sector, has appointed Wales Rugby Union team captain Jac Morgan as Ambassador. In this role, the British Lions, Wales and Ospreys rugby star will promote the award-winning brand.
“I’m so very proud to be associated with a quality Welsh Beef brand that promotes all that is good about Welsh farming and the wider Welsh food sector,” said Jac Morgan, who follows in the footsteps of Martyn Williams and Dan Biggar as the brand’s ambassador.
Established in 2003, Celtic Pride Beef has championed the superior quality of Welsh beef for more than two decades, continuing to ensure the highest levels of animal welfare, provenance and eating quality. It also prides itself on setting the highest standards for beef farming, including quality, traceability, animal welfare and reducing food miles by using a network of local farmers and abattoirs.
As part of the Castell Howell Foods group, Celtic Pride beef is delivered across Wales, the border counties and south-west England, with the extra matured beef being an award-winning staple.
“Our roots are firmly in farming and we proudly support Welsh farmers throughout our foodservice supply chain,” said Brian Jones, Castell Howell Foods Founder and Chairman.
“We are delighted that Jac has agreed to be our new brand Ambassador. His talent on the rugby field, as one of Europe’s finest players, fully aligns with our continued journey of working with skilled farmers and processors to be the finest meat brand in our field.”
Jac recently featured on ‘Cefn Gwlad: Brian Castell Howell’ on S4C which followed Brian as the founder of the Castell Howell Foods business and went back to his boyhood roots. Watch it here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0l5j6pg
