The certification marks a significant milestone for the business, providing independent verification that the certified sleeves meet recognised criteria for home composting conditions. Viscose’s Plastic-free shrink sleeves are made from sustainable wood pulp and are biodegradable, home compostable and designed to self-shrink at room temperature. This allows them to form a secure, tamper-evident seal around containers and bottles without the need for heat-shrinking machinery.
