Invicta – one of the UK’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of equipment to the bakery, catering and food processing industries – will be showcasing its new inter-nesting Z-frame bakery racks at this year’s Foodex Manufacturing Solutions show at the NEC Birmingham from 24-26 April.
Perfect for bakery and food production areas with limited available floor area, the racks are specifically designed to nest inside each other to save on space when not in use. They are made from high-quality stainless steel and like most of Invicta’s products can be supplied to meet the customer’s exact requirements.
“Over the years, our extensive range of stainless steel racks has earned a reputation for strength and durability and has always been very popular with customers who include some of the biggest names in the industry,” said Invicta Managing Director, Martin Brown.
“However, we also supply to individual craft bakers and start-ups who are often operating out of very small premises where space is an issue. These new racks are ideal in these circumstances. For example, ten racks occupy a space of only 2 metres x 1 metre when stored away.
“We trialed them with a number of key customers to perfect the design and the racks are now ready for a wider roll-out within the industry.” he said.
As a company, Invicta specialises in the manufacture of bespoke products and regularly works with customers to design practical solutions for their needs. The new space-saver racks are an example of Invicta’s engineers working closely with the end users to ensure that the company’s range continually meets industry demand.
Made from durable 304-grade stainless steel, the standard Z-frame racks are produced in 25mm box section with a square construction frame. They are fitted with 25 x 25mm turned-down, anti-chafe angle runners to accommodate standard 762mm x 457mm or 600mm x 400mm baking trays. The long edges are dressed for safety and they come complete with 4 x 100mm diameter nylon swivel castors for easy handling around the bakery.
The racks can be tailored to suit specified tray size and capacity.
The space-saving racks received the personal endorsement of Craft Bakers Association President Neil Woods on a recent visit to the company’s North Yorkshire-based factory.
“These racks are a really great idea and I am sure will be very popular amongst the smaller bakers or those just wanting to be space-efficient.
“Invicta has served bakers for over a century and has always adapted to meet the changing needs of the industry whilst maintaining its strong commitment to excellent customer service and superior product quality.
“It is wonderful to see a British manufacturing firm at the top of its game and I am very impressed by the way it blends modern techniques and innovation with the skills and know-how of a great manufacturing heritage,” he said.
The inter-nesting, Z-frame racks will be on display at Invicta’s stand (D168) at the Foodex show together with a selection of the company’s best-selling lines and other new, innovative products from its extensive collection of industrial bakeware. This will include the unique patented tray-locked cup trays, custom-built tables, oven and bakery racks, dollies, baking trays, bread pans and tins.
There will also be plenty of plastic products from its Food Industry Supplies collection of products, such as ingredient dispensers and containers, tapered containers with ring dolly and plastic dollies to suit bakers’ trays.
